Download and import official MakerGear settings for Simplify3D 4.0
These profiles are designed for Simplify3D 4.0.
What is a Profile?
Simplify 3D allows you to import new presets so that you can print different materials and with different machine configurations. These presets are known as 'Profiles'.
What is a Factory File?
You can also import workspaces that include presets as well as 3D models - these are known as 'Factory Files'.
Once you've downloaded the ZIP file, extract its contents to your computer. Look in the following folder depending on the Machine you have.
|MakerGear M3 Single Extruder Rev 0 (No Probe)||Simplify3D -> Single Extruder|
|MakerGear M3 Independent Dual Rev 0 (No Probe)||Simplify3D -> Independent Dual - Rev 0|
|MakerGear M3 Independent Dual Rev 1 (With Probe)||Simplify3D ->Independent Dual - Rev 1|
There are also several "Experimental" profiles included in the ZIP file.
The latest version of our M3 profiles, for PLA and ABS, have updated starting scripts. When a print is started, the bed will heat and the probe will check the bed before the hotends start to heat up. This will keep the nozzle from inadvertently depositing filament on the build surface prior to the print starting.
Experimental M3 Profiles
DuPont Surlyn and Hytrel 3D4000FL and 3D41000FL are flexible to semi-flexible materials. We have Simplify3D profiles for these materials here. DuPont has more information, and Printing Guidelines, for these materials here.
