Learn how to prepare single- and dual-material print jobs for the MakerGear M3.
Single-Extrusion Print Jobs
When preparing 3D files for single-material print jobs, M3 users should use OctoPrint's built-in slicer plugin.
Dual-Extrusion Print Jobs
Dual-extrusion print jobs require the packaging of multiple, concurrent processes into one gCode file, which is not supported by OctoPrint's slicer plugin. When slicing for dual-extrusion print jobs (such as a dual-color 3D print), M3 users should prepare files in Simplify3D before printing, then upload them to OctoPrint for printing.
